via US 89, mile marker 471(at the Wood Camp Campground),
then 0.2 miles north to the trailhead. This popular
trail gradually climbs to a 1400-year old juniper tree
(accessed by a short side trail). A loop at the end
offers a scenic (west side) or shady (east side) options.
