Name Wind Cave Way
USFS Trail Number
n.a.
Geographic Area Lower Logan Canyon, north side

Length
1.9 miles
Description
This trail starts at a junction with the Wind Cave trail about one mile from the Wind Cave Trailhead, and ends on the ridge between Green Canyon and Logan Canyon at a junction with the Beirdneau trail (topographic maps may show a trail directly from the Wind Caves to the the Beirdneau trail, but this trail does not actually exist).  The Wind Cave Way trail is fairly simply constructed and it could benefit from more usage and maintenance (the Cache Hikers worked on it in 2008 and 2009).  At one time a "Wind Cave Way" sign caused confused hikers to go the wrong way on their hike to the Wind Caves, but at present (Summer 2013) the trail is not signed at either end.

Hikers can go from Green Canyon to Logan Canyon using this trail, usually by going up the cool and shady Beirdneau trail  from Green Canyon and down the sunny and dry Wind Cave Way and Wind Cave trails to Logan Canyon (the reverse direction is shown on the map, below).
