Corral Hollow Loop, 21 July, 2024


Trip Summary:
  • Nine Cache Hikers:  Dan, Brent L, Laurel, Dave W, Deanna, Dick, Brent J, Ralph, and Kamren (leader)
  • Carpooled 33 miles to Corral Hollow (north of the Idaho border on the Franklin Basin Road)
  • Hiked a loop route:  east up Corral Hollow, north on the Highline Trail to Danish Pass, south through Egan Basin to Blue Lake and Gibson Basin, west back to the Highline Trail and Corral Hollow
  • Started hiking about 9:10, "lunch" at Blue Lake 2:50 - 3:10, back at the trailhead at 5:50.
  • Clear skies, calm winds and pleasant temperatures
  • Our GPS track shows about 12.2 miles and 2100 feet of ascent & descent
