Invasive weed control
- Many of our local trails are plagued by invasive and annoying weeds, like burdock and houndstonge. Another weed of concern is myrtle spurge. This weed is raising havoc on the Wasatch Front but fortunately it has not spread widely in Cache Valley.
- Hikers can help control these weeds, improving the trail experience for everyone:
- Be a trail volunteer
- Contact Lisa Thompson, Volunteer and Partnership Coordinator, Ogden and Logan Ranger Districts, 435-755-3624, for information about "Adopt-a-Trail" and other programs
- Participate in "National Trails Day" activities
