2022 Summer Activity Schedule

Cache Hiker events comply with current COVID-19 precautions:

  • Participants are encouraged to provide their own transportation to minimize COVID risk, but carpooling (to reduce parking congestion at trailheads) may be acceptable for fully-vaccinated and/or mask-wearing passengers.
  • Some 2021 trips will require a car shuttle between trailheads.  Please consider your current COVID situation before joining those hikes.
  • Participants will maintain social distance and other current protocols when appropriate.
Summer hikes usually are scheduled from May to October.  Participants meet 8:00 a.m. at the southwest corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North Main Street in Logan, Utah on days chosen by the hike leader (see below). Participants should bring food, water, appropriate clothing, and a donation for gas and parking fees, where applicable.

It is the participant’s responsibility to be sure the trip is within his/her ability and stamina, and to have adequate equipment.  In most cases the hiker should be prepared with sturdy boots, hat, first aid kit, rain protection, insect repellent, extra clothing, food, water, and optional hiking poles. Contact the trip leader for more information.

The Cache Trails book is a good source of information for many of the activities.. Other resources include the Cache Valley Visitors Bureau and the Logan Ranger District. Of special interest are the well-done Logan Canyon Hiking Trails website, by Sarah Ohms, the Trails Illustrated map, and the new  Cache County Trails Cache website.
