Geographic Area Lower Blacksmith Fork Canyon, south side
Length
2.3 miles one-way
Description

Access via the parking area at the mouth of Blacksmith Fork Canyon (on the north side just after crossing the river). Walk south across the highway (State Route 101) and over the bridge. The Blacksmith Fork Trail heads east (upstream) on the south side of the river for 2.3 miles. The first 1.7 miles was built in 2016 with the cooperation of Hyrum City and extended by the Forest Service in 2017. The route follows an underground water pipeline and ends at a fenced water structure. Just west of the Forest boundary foundations of several old buildings and a footbridge across the river mark the location of an old CCC camp.
