2018 Winter Activity Schedule

Winter trips
are scheduled from January to mid-March.  Visitors are welcome!

Meet 10:00 a.m.
at the southwest corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North Main Street in Logan, Utah unless specified otherwise.   The trip leader determines the anticipated return time and any need to alter plans, if necessary. 

Prepare for the activity: 
Bring food, water, extra clothing, and a donation for gas if carpooling.  Make sure your equipment is adequate and that you have the skill and stamina necessary for the trip.

Ski/Snowshoe in Amazon Hollow

The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip in the North Fork of Amazon Hollow on Sunday. This is a moderately difficult snowshoe or a challenging cross-country ski activity, about 4 miles, with 500 ft. elevation gain and a beautiful high elevation trek with great views of Beaver Mt. and peaks to the west, and an expected return about 4:00 p.m. Car shuttle required. Moonlight outing on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail

The Cache Hikers will host a winter moonlight excursion on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail on Tuesday. This is an easy activity, about 2 miles round trip.  Meet 7:00 p.m. at the southwest corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North Main Street, with an expected return about 10:00 p.m.  Bring a headlamp/flashlight, warm drink and warm clothing, and boots, snowshoes (or crosscountry skis?), depending on snow conditions.

11 March, 2018 Ski/Snowshoe in Franklin Basin The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip in Franklin Basin on Sunday. This is a strenuous cross-country ski or snowshoe activity, about 4.5 miles with 1200 feet of elevation gain and an expected return about 4:30 p.m. The route climbs between White Pine Creek and Steam Mill Creek, offering views of upper Logan Canyon and lower Franklin Basin.
