Winter trips are scheduled from
January to mid-March. Visitors are welcome!
Meet 10:00 a.m. at the southwest corner
of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North Main
Street in Logan, Utah unless specified
otherwise. The trip leader determines the
anticipated return time and any need to alter plans, if
necessary.
Prepare for the activity: Bring
food, water, extra clothing, and a donation for gas if
carpooling. Make sure your equipment is adequate and
that you have the skill and stamina necessary for the
trip.

Ski/snowshoe in Sink Hollow
The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip to
Sink Hollow on Sunday. This is a moderate snowshoe or
cross-country ski activity, about 5 miles round trip, mostly
through forested terrain, with an expected return about 3:00
p.m.
The
Cache
Hikers will host a winter trip in the Spring Hollow area
on Saturday. This is a moderate snowshoe activity, about 4
miles round trip, with an expected return about 2:00 pm.
The
Cache
Hikers will host a winter trip at Bear Lake Overlook on
Saturday.This
is a moderately strenuous snowshoe/cross-country ski
activity, about 3 miles to the Old Limber Pine via Bear
Lake Overlook and Sunrise Campground, with an expected
return about 4:30 pm.
The
Cache
Hikers
will host a winter trip to Long Hollow on Sunday.
This is a strenuous cross-country ski or snowshoe
activity, about 4 miles with 1200 feet of elevation gain,
beginning at the Sink Hollow Winter Trailhead, with an
expected return about 4:30 p.m.
The Cache Hikers will host a
winter trip to Tony
Grove Creek on Sunday. This is an easy snowshoe or
moderate cross-country ski activity, about 5 miles as we
follow Tony Grove Creek along an old roadway. with an
expected return about 3:00 p.m.
The Cache Hikers will host a winter moonlight
excursion in Green Canyon on Friday. This is an easy
snowshoe or cross-country ski activity, about 4 miles round
trip. Meet 7:00 p.m. at the southwest
corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North
Main Street, with an expected return about 11:00 pm. Bring a
headlamp/flashlight, warm drink and warm clothing.
The Cache Hikers will host a Sunday morning walk in lower
Logan Canyon using the Highline, Gateway and River Trails.
This is an easy hike of about 4 miles, with an expected
return about 1:00 p.m. Hiking boots are generally
appropriate but consider snowshoes if there has been a
recent big storm
The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip to
the North Fork of Wood
Camp Hollow on Sunday. This is an moderate
cross-country ski or snowshoe activity, mostly through open
valley bottom, about 4 miles round trip, with an expected
return about 3:00 p.m.
The Cache Hikers will host a winter event in Logan Dry
Canyon on Saturday. This is an easy snowshoe activity,
about 5 miles round trip, with an expected return about 3:00
p.m.
The Cache Hikers will host a winter event
in Smithfield
Canyonon Saturday. This is an easy
snowshoe or moderate cross-country ski activity, about 5
miles round trip, with an expected return about 3:00 p.m.
The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip in Franklin
Basin on Sunday. This is a strenuous cross-country ski
or snowshoe activity, about 4.5 miles with an expected
return about 4:30 p.m.
The Cache Hikers will host a
winter trip at Bunchgrass
Creek on Saturday. This is a moderate snowshoe or
moderately-challenging cross-country ski event, about 5
miles round trip, with an expected return about 3:00 p.m.
