2026 Winter Activity Schedule
 
Winter trips are scheduled from January to mid-March. Visitors are welcome!

Meet 10:00 a.m.
at the southwest corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North Main Street in Logan, Utah unless specified otherwise. The trip leader determines the anticipated return time and any need to alter plans, if necessary.

Prepare for the activity:
Bring food, water, and extra clothing. Make sure your equipment is adequate and that you have the skill and stamina necessary for the trip, and consider a donation for gas if carpooling. Trail crampons ("cleats" or "spikes") may be useful if conditions are not suitable for skis or snowshoes.

The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip to Blacksmith Fork on Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Years Day). This is an easy snowshoe or boot activity (trail crampons are advised if conditions are icy), about 5 miles round trip and 300 feet of elevation. The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip to Sink Hollow and the Idaho Border on Sunday. This is a moderate snowshoe or cross-country ski activity, about 5 miles round trip and 500 feet of elevation, mostly through forested terrain, with an expected return about 3:00 p.m.

This is an easy snowshoe or cross-country ski activity, about 4 miles round trip and 300 feet of elevation. Meet 5:00 p.m., with an expected return about 10:00 pm. The Cache Hikers will host winter moonlight excursion from the Murray Farm Trailhead on Saturday evening. This is an easy snowshoe or moderate ski activity, about 3 miles with 500 feet of elevation, to a point overlooking Cache Valley.  Bring a headlamp/flashlight, warm drink and warm clothing. Snowshoe hike at Spring Hollow
The Cache Hikers will host a winter trip to at Spring Hollow on Sunday. This moderate, 4.5-mile snowshoe hike follows the Spring Hollow, River, Bridger Look-Off, and Mill Hollow trails in a loop hike with a gain of about 1000 feet of elevation.
