2020 Summer Activity Schedule

We have resumed scheduled hikes for the summer of 2020 with COVID-19 precautions:

  • Participants will provide their own transportation to avoid the need for carpooling.  To accommodate additional vehicles, leaders have chosen locations that have larger trailhead parking capacity.  Hikes have been scheduled for days when fewer other hikers are expected, and no hikes will require a car shuttle.
  • Hikers will maintain social distance and other current protocols.
  • The trip leader may offer a nearby alternative hike if group size is too large.
Summer hikes usually are scheduled from May to October.  Participants meet at the southwest corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North Main Street in Logan, Utah.  Participants should bring food, water, appropriate clothing, and a donation for gas and parking fees, where applicable.

It is the participant’s responsibility to be sure the trip is within his/her ability and stamina, and to have adequate equipment.  In most cases the hiker should be prepared with sturdy boots, hat, first aid kit, rain protection, insect repellent, extra clothing, food, water, and optional hiking poles. Contact the trip leader for more information.

Contact the trip leader for more information.  The  Cache Trails book is a good source of information for many of the activities.. Other resources include the  Cache Valley Visitors Bureau and the Logan Ranger District. Of special interest are the well-done Logan Canyon Hiking Trails website, by Sarah Ohms, the Trails Illustrated map, and the new  Cache County Trails Cache website.
